Here are the details; Event - 6th USDAA International Dog Agility Sanctioned Trials Date - AUGUST 1 & 2, 2009 Time - 9am to 5pm Venue - TBA Judges - Mr. John Zhao (Guangzhou, China) & Mr. Dexter Sim (Singapore) Programme for the day; Starter Standard Agility Starter Jumpers Advance Jumpers Performance 1 Standard Agility Performance 2 Standard Agility Performance 1 Jumpers Performance 2 Jumpers Tournament Events; Master Dog Agility Three-dog Team World Championships (local qualifier) Consists of ...... DAM event consists of 5 individual events and having three dogs and handlers team to form a TEAM and compete on a team merits. Team Standard Agility Team Jumpers Team Relays Team Snooker & Team Gamblers Guess what? All above classes are structured in Master Level and this give us an opportunity to expose our team to 5 events in Master level in a sitting. Where will you get a chance like this, to compete like a True Pro...........so don't miss out this chance! Joined: May 2002 Gender: Male Posts: 928 Location: Singapore Karma: 0 Re: 6th USDAA Trials, dd SEP 12&13, 2009! « Reply #6 on Sept 5, 2009, 11:01am » AGILITY - OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME The handler and his dog have to perform a set of obstacles (14 at the minimum) in the sequence that the Judges has instructed. You will notice the sequence numbers placed near the obstacles. Each course differs every event as the Judge prepares the course usually only a day before the competition. The dog has to follow the instructions of the handler and must perform the obstacles correctly, and at the shortest time. Each error has a corresponding penalty called faults. The dog with the least faults, and with the shortest time will come out as the winner. It has become a very popular sport all over the world after three decades. Over 80 countries participate in international competition. The Singapore started in this sports over a decade, and so far has joined in the United States Dog Agility Association, Inc and the Cynosport World Games 2009 in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA! This sports is getting popular, and these weekends we will see TOP dogs in Singapore joining the competition.
